Members of the McMaster Public Health Student-led Conference Planning Committee (MPHSLC) have diligently been organizing the second annual MPHLSC Conference, an event hosted by students in the Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate program at McMaster University. The conference will take place on Friday, November 22, at McMaster Innovation Park from 10 AM to 3PM.
The current landscape of public health practices continue to endure profound states of flux. Consequently, the conference theme this year is ”Facing the Future: What’s Next for Public Health?”. The event aims to cultivate an environment where students, professionals, academics and policymakers can collaborative to critically discuss developments, as well as emerging public health issues. A specific emphasis will cover topics such as environmental health, the uprising of gun-violence in Canada, youth mental health, artificial intelligence, and health-system transformations.
Information regarding registration, scheduling, and speakers will be presented closer to the conference dates. For more details, please visit: www.mphslc.com.
