Register here for the ARMS 2021 Symposium, which takes place on October 18, 2021. This free, all-day event is open to all McMaster faculty, students and affiliates.
The McMaster ARMS initiative takes a unique interdisciplinary approach to lead the way for advanced research on mental health from a social science perspective. Our goal is to underscore that a social science perspective should be prioritized in the effort to address the burden of mental health problems.

Mental Health: Beyond the Vacuum, will feature lively discussions from various McMaster faculty members, representatives from various community organizations, and a keynote discussion by Jason Schnittker and Blair Wheaton. We will also highlight student approaches to social sciences research, through multiple poster presentations representing the key research topic areas identified by the McMaster Institute for Health Equity.
This event will take place on a custom gather.town map designed to resemble LR Wilson. More information regarding the use of gather.town will be available through the Online Attendee Event Page.
We are excited to welcome you to a space where you can engage with innovative research and create conversations surrounding the contributions social sciences has provided to our understanding of mental health.
